FTC DISCLOSURE: This post is sponsored in part by Clean Goods. As always, all opinions are my own.

Taking the leap towards more natural and greener options for yourself and family is not an easy task, nor should it be taken lightly. Despite the urge to completely overhaul the line up of personal and household products that’s found a home on your shelves for such a long time, the most stress free way to approach it is to gradually find new favorites.

Making this switch can possibly be overwhelming.

Taking a slower approach allows for you to do the appropriate research needed to choose what’s really right for your family.

But, let’s get real. Most of us don’t have as much time as we would like to dedicate to researching all that we would like. That’s why we seek out apps and websites as resources such as the Environmental Working Group and their database of test results.

Well, what if I told you there was a website that created an easy peasy shopping experience for cleaner products by including puracy ratings right on the screen right next to the product you’re interested in. What if I topped that off by saying that website also found you the lowest prices for those products by fulfilling the order through Amazon, Walmart, or Target. You AUTOMATICALLY get the products at the lowest price from any of those.

WELL, that’s exactly what I’m telling you.

CleanGoods.com is a site created to make the switch to cleaner products for your home and family as easy as possible. They take the heavy lifting out of the process by including trusted ratings from sources such as the Environmental Working Group on the description pages of their website to make the shopping experience as seamless and simple as possible.

On the Clean Goods site, they include a curated round up of top clean products available on the market. Their rating system uses the factors which mean the most to you: purity, performance, and price.

When it comes to purity, the rating system takes into account how clean the product really is . It is based on product values, scores from the EWG, and real user reviews.

Performance rates how the product works in real life. This rating tries to highlight the best and worst aspects of the product based on a large volume of user reviews.

Price is based on the price per volume. It essentially rates how cost effective the product is compared to others grouped in the same category.

The best part is their dedication to providing the lowest price possible for their products. Once you decide on what’s best for you, they save you time and effort by working through Target, Walmart, or Amazon to get you the best price. All you have to do is wait for the items to show up on your doorstep.

I recently ordered a couple of new products which are either new on my product radar or I finally took the leap on by using Clean Good’s rating system.

Here are my picks and my quick review of each:

Nature Clean Dishwasher Pods

Since moving to our new house in NJ in 2017, I have been loving the small luxuries we didn’t have in our old house in Brooklyn. One of those is certainly our dishwasher.

However, I must admit that my search to find a great natural dishwasher detergent has not been successful for the most part. Either the product failed to properly clean our dishes or they did not do well when it came to ratings. My other half tried to be nice when I got to the 4th or 5th product that failed to work by commending me on my efforts to find something, but we might just have to go back to the chemicals. Of course, I gave him a dirty look while slowly responding “NEVER”.

Thankfully, I came across Nature Clean Pods on the Clean Goods website. The ratings checked out overall, with it scoring a 10 for performance. While I admit I was borderline desperate to find ANYTHING that worked well, I still wanted something that fit in my budget and contained quality ingredients.

The Nature Clean pods arrived just in time. We used the last one from our previous bag of pods about 1 hour before the box of items were delivered.

My son did his chore of putting the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and popped in one of the Nature Clean pods. Once the cycle was finished, I checked out the load and was pleasantly surprised with the results. All of the glasses were clean and clear and there was no overwhelming chemical smell because there are no harsh chemicals in the formulations.

I’m happy I found Nature Clean pods on the Clean Goods website. This was the first time I’ve encountered the brand and was happy to have the accompanying research on the site for me to feel comfortable to try it out.

Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Conditioner

As the mom of a 9 year old boy, shower and grooming time can get “interesting”.

My son has heard me preaching more than he probably likes, but is aware of the importance of choosing more natural products. However, he could care less about the higher price tag that comes with these natural products and let’s his heavy hand get the best of him when using them which, (naturally and with good reason), makes me have to tap into my meditative breathing exercises to keep me from flying off the handle.

This is why I’m always on the hunt for affordable natural products which can be found in everyday stores and websites. I’m a mom and know that life happens.

I chose the Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Conditioner for this very reason. It is super affordable and is a brand found in most big box stores. It also doesn’t have an overpowering scent that might make my son opt out of reaching for it.

The Alba Botanica Conditioner worked well for our everyday use. It is moisturizing for our curls and gentle to apply on a daily basis.

Nature’s Gate Natural Shampoo

When it comes to shampoo in my house, the reasoning behind finding better products which fit in our budget is much the same.

Nature’s Gate is another brand which can be found in many health food stores. It’s one of the most tried brands on websites such as Amazon due to it’s price point and use a great variety of natural ingredients.

The variation of Nature’s Gate Shampoo I chose from Clean Goods had Lavender and Peony. I absolutely love lavender anything so I adored the smell. The product itself worked great without leaving my hair feeling dry.

Puracy Natural All Purpose Cleaner

If there’s one cleaning product just about very house needs, it would be an all purpose cleaner. I reach for this at least 3 times a day with little ones running around.

I’ve tried a ton of cleaners both natural and not over the years. After using enough natural based ones, I’ve become so used to the lack of harsh chemicals and smells that I couldn’t go back if I even wanted to.

Puracy is a brand I’ve seen during many late night Amazon scrolling sessions. I have always been impressed by the great reviews and pricing. I was that much more excited to try it once it started showing up on the the shelves of some Target stores. The only reason I had not added it to my virtual or actual shopping cart was because I had so many products to go through at home first before bringing back another one.

My last couple bottles went quickly once my daughter started walking, so I finally decided to give Puracy a try.

I’m happy I did because it did not disappoint PLUS the cost was amazing. For less than $13, you receive a two pack of cleaners that score amazingly on the EWG website. According to the Clean Goods website, the Puracy All Purpose Cleaners rate a 9 in both Puracy and Price. It’s kind of a no brainer all around and I definitely think it’s a product to keep an eye out for.

Overall, I’m super excited and encouraged with the creation of websites such as Clean Goods. The hardest part of starting a change in general is starting. Many people tell me though they want to switch and ditch their old products for cleaner ones, the thought of actually doing the research seems overwhelming.

Having some of the heavy lifting done or at the very least gathered in one place and accessible right in from of you while shopping is genius. I look forward to more products being added to the site, but I absolutely recommend anyone interested in starting (or continuing) their natural product journey to check out Clean Goods.
