Adding self care and new green beauty products back into my routine have been one of the highlights of my summer. I admit I took some time off after having my second child, but I’m back.

august 2020 detox box market reveal review

Thankfully, the Detox Market has been generous enough to get me back in the game by gifting me with their monthly Detox Boxes.

The Detox Box is a monthly subscription from The Detox Market where you receive a round up of green beauty products valued for at least $90. Each box has one or more brands and costs $55 per month. The price per box gets cheaper depending on how many boxes you sign up for. It’s a great way for anyone who has a tough time finding cleaner beauty items to get them delivered right to your home.

So here’s the deets on August’s box which is still available for purchase (at the time of this post going live). This month’s Detox Box includes:

Osea Sea Minerals Mist ($38 Value)

Osea has been one of my long time favorite clean beauty brands. This sea minerals mist is such a refreshing smelling facial mist. The combination of the algae, aloe vera, and dead sea salt instantly takes you back to the beach.

Love Sun Body Unscented SPF 50 & Lightly Scented SPF 30 ($37 Value)

I’ve honestly yet to try out these cleaner labeled sunscreen products yet. However, I truly trust the standards of the folks at The Detox Market, so I’m excited to give them a whirl.

Indie Lee Coconut Citrus Scrub ($40 Value)

Indie Lee is another brand that’s been finding it’s way onto my shelves over the summer. It’s been a staple in many beauty boxes that I’ve received. I recently tried out the line’s Hydrating Meditation Facial Mist and was truly impressed by the scent and the moisture. The scent took me right back to the days of regular yoga classes that seemed so far ago. But alas, it was only March of this year. Yeah, 2020’s been that crazy, right?!

I look forward to trying out this Coconut Citrus Scrub during one of my extra long mommy time showers. It smells absolutely delightful when you open the jar.

-Captain Blankenship Golden Waves Sea Salt Shimmer Spray

While this spray looks like it’ll be perfect for the skin at first glance, it’s actually a hair styling spray. It’s meant to help turn boring hair into goddess wavy goodness with the added touch of sparkle.

Rahua Travel Shampoo & Conditioner ($10 Value)

Rahua is absolutely one of my top 5 favorite clean hair care brands.

Their Omega 9 Hair Mask is the stuff of curly girl’s dreams. It is absolutely worth the splurge especially with so many of us doing our hair at home right now. But, honestly, I love almost everything in the line. The products are so well crafted.

While these smaller sized travel versions aren’t the easiest to grab ahold of, they are available in this month’s box. if you’re interested in trying the super moisturizing products without getting the entire box, you can try this slightly bigger travel sized version of the Classic Shampoo & Conditioner are the perfect way to try out the line without a big investment.

Overall, this month’s box was so fun and perfect for the summer. Even though we’ve been home more than other summers, the arrival of this package became the perfect reminder of my commitment to self care.
