- Add black eyed peas to instant pot.
- Add water into pot.
- Add salt, olive oil, and bay leaves.
- Close and seal instant pot.
- Set manual timed pressure to 30 minutes.
- After the 30 minute timer goes off, do a quick pressure release.
- Check the texture of the beans. If they are too firm for your recipe or preference, replace the cover and set the manual timer for another 5 minutes. If it's tender enough when you check it, season with additional salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.
