2cupsDry Black Eyed Peas
6-7 cups Water
1-1.5 tsp Salt
1tbspOlive Oil
2Bay Leaves
Instructions
Add black eyed peas to instant pot.
Add water into pot.
Add salt, olive oil, and bay leaves.
Close and seal instant pot.
Set manual timed pressure to 30 minutes.
After the 30 minute timer goes off, do a quick pressure release.
Check the texture of the beans. If they are too firm for your recipe or preference, replace the cover and set the manual timer for another 5 minutes. If it's tender enough when you check it, season with additional salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.
