I’ve been gone for a bit, but I’m back!! I’ve had the pleasure of hosting a couple of different events with my new meetup groups, The Fab Mamas, the She Vlogs Network, & the NYC Makeup & Beauty Meetup Groups.  I have mentioned the first group before, but I will explain the second more at a later time.

As an avid supporter of local businesses AND self-professed product junkie, I’m always on the lookout for new lines to try. And as you may know, I also have a soft spot in my heart for, (AFFORDABLE), all-natural and organic beauty and skincare products. SO, stopping at the booth lined with raw natural soaps lined up at a street fair a couple of months ago was a no brainer. I just love the look of natural soaps on display.

Blue Bee Bars is a family owned beauty product company based in New York City. That day I met the owner, Nadine. She gave me a brief rundown of the products she was offering and explained the benefits and ingredients. The idea of the bars came from her own personal needs for higher quality, nourishing products to address her skin issues. I walked away with her Rhassoul Mud Facial Mask and and the Lavender Madness Soap Bar.

Admittedly, my experience with raw bar soaps is minimal. I have been so hung up on my couponing that I have been just reaching for the regular conventional soaps that I have been scoring for super cheap. However, within the last 6 months, I have started to incorporate at-home pampering techniques including long baths using lavender based products. These 2 products from Blue Bee Bars fit right in with this theme.

The Lavender Madness soap bar is made with a variety of natural oils, goat milk, and lavender essential oil and powder. This mixture of goat milk and oils made this soap SUPER moisturizing. I was extremely impressed with the difference in my skin after taking a bath with this bar. In addition, I loved how much clean feeling lather was generated by the bar. My skin smelled and felt amazing. The lavender scent is just the right amount to spread in the bathroom, but not be overwhelming and obnoxious. I actually used the entire original bar without taking a picture lol. The pictures above are the French Green Shea  bars I picked as part of my second order.

Lastly, I just want to mention the super cute packaging. I LOVE the little bags that the bars come in. They are adorable and reusable. My son has used them to take small toys outside with him, and I have used them for a small makeup bag instead of dragging around my massive alternative. The use of this packaging is so environmentally conscious and responsible though I am sure that it can’t be the cheapest option. I have no issues paying a bit more when this much thought and integrity is involved.

Check out Blue Bee Bars here and tell them Tiffany aka itsmeladyg sent you!!
