Are you wondering about the Air Doctor Air Purifier? Is it worth it? Which model should you get? Spring and fall are two seasons where my entire holistic health way of life get seriously challenged. Between the allergens and my tendency to deal with sinus issues, I usually try every and anything to prevent things from getting completely out of hand. And for those exposed to wildfires, improving the air in our homes should be a priority.

In addition to my regular holistic preventative measures, I have also included over 40+ plants into my home to help improve the general air quality in my home and make it a calmer atmosphere overall which in turn, lowers stress levels. I am very aware of how stress affects the immune system’s ability to function properly.

But, even those measures can’t actually reduce in-home air contaminants in the ways needed to feel a difference with allergies and for those chronically irritated by air pollutants.

Not to mention the many toxins in the air within our own homes. This includes chemicals from our furniture, paint and other products we use and bring inside, dust mites, allergens, and mold.

According to the EPA:

Americans, on average, spend approximately 90 percent of their time indoors,1 where the concentrations of some pollutants are often 2 to 5 times higher than typical outdoor concentrations.

That’s why I was excited when the team over at Ideal Living sent me an Air Doctor Filter (3000 Model) to try out. I found there were not enough Air Doctor Purifier Reviews, I decided to share my journey and experience with it.

Check out the brief unboxing and videos I shared on the Air Doctor on my Instagram stories.

WHAT’S AN AIR DOCTOR PRO AIR PURIFIER?

Air Doctor is a high quality, professional, sealed UltaHEPA filter system which is made to clean your home’s air and decrease pollutants. This includes tobacco smoke, pet dander, mold spores, formaldehyde, and more capturing up to 99.99% of the most dangerous ultra fine particulates.

This filter has been recommended by well known people in the wellness space including Dr. Mark Hyman, Katie of The Wellness Mama, and Chris Wark of Chris Beats Cancer. So, they have definitely been on my radar for quite a while.

However, with an original retail price of $629, it was definitely a product we were going to give some thought to before taking the leap.

Time after time, this AirDoctor filter kept landing at the top of my research list based on it’s features for the price compared to others in the same category.

WHAT MAKES THE AIR DOCTOR PRO AIR FILTER SPECIAL?

Here are a couple of questions I had in regards to the Air Doctor Pro Filters when finding out if the Air Doctor was worth the money.

#1 Does The Air Doctor Pro Have A HEPA filter?

The UltraHEPA filter system is used within the Air Doctor, which is 100 times more effective than ordinary HEPA filters.

According to the Air Doctor team, “Ordinary HEPA systems only claim to remove particles down to .3 microns. AirDoctor UltraHEPA™ is certified to filter 99.5% of all particles down to 0.003 microns, 100 times smaller.”

Are The Air Doctor Pro Filters Portable?

There are currently 3 models of the Air Doctor Pro Air Filters.

The first and original Air Doctor Pro Filter is called the “Classic Defender”. This is what I unboxed in the video above. Be sure to check it out so you can see which Air Doctor Pro Air Filter is the best for your home and family.

However, there is a more portable Air Doctor Pro Air Filter. It is the AirDoctor 1000 model.

It is the perfect size for small bedrooms, nurseries, home offices, laundry rooms, and more. It is also the most affordable filter from the brand. It costs $399 but can be purchased for as low as $279.

The Air Doctor Pro 5000 model is the largest unit in size and is the least portable.

Is the AirDoctor Pro 3000 Air Filter Portable?

While it is not as small as the AirDoctor Pro 1000, it is the next smallest in the line. I have moved it around my home with ease. It can be picked up and moved from room to room without a problem.

I could also pick it up and travel with it if I had to. The AirDoctor 3000 model easy fits in my car’s trunk and can be plugged in at a hotel.

Yes, the AirDoctor Pro 3000 Air Filter can be portable if needed.

How Do I Set Up The AirDoctor Pro Air Purifier Filter?

This filter was super easy to get set up. Within 5 -10 minutes we were up and running because everything was already assembled. The only thing I needed to do was remove the plastic cover from on the inner activated charcoal filter system and the labels on the actual unit.

Once those were removed, I plugged it in a spot which was 1 foot away from walls on both sides per the instructions.

After powering on, the air quality indicator immediately went to work and showed we had Moderate Air Quality then turned to blue which meant we had good air quality.

Is The AirDoctor Pro A Good Air Purifier?

During the last couple of weeks of using the Air Doctor, I’ve seen it in action and can honestly say it’s improved our indoor air quality.

When you watch the quick clip below, you will see the unit kicking into gear when I was cooking something that made the house a bit smokey. In addition, I have noticed a drastic reduction in allergy symptoms since we’ve been using it. And not only for myself, but for the other allergy sufferers in my house as well. I didn’t believe how much of a difference it had made until I noticed I went from full blown misery to fine within a couple of weeks.

How Loud Is The Air Doctor Pro Air Filter Purifier?

And for those wondering how quiet it is, rest assured. When it is in auto mode and the air quality sensor is set to blue, it is whisper quiet. Once it starts trying to clear the air, it does get slightly louder for the time it takes to get the air clean and returns to it’s quite setting afterwards.

Does The AirDoctor Pro Remove Mold?

The Air Doctor Pro air filters have been tested by third party labs and have been shown to remove 99.9% of a range of mold spores and viruses.

Does The AirDoctor Pro Remove COVID-19 From Your Home?

One of the most frequent questions I’ve been asked was for a list of air filters and purifiers that may help protect one from the spread of COVID-19 in the home.

It took a while for me to be able to answer this, but I do have at least one air filter to recommend.

That is the AirDoctor Pro.

Through third party lab testing, the AirDoctor Pro line of air filters and purifiers have been proven to eliminate COVID-19 that’s in the air. Check here for more information and lab testing.

This is done in part by the use of it’s specific HEPA filters. These HEPA filters can essentially stop the spread of COVID in the air since it can capture particles smaller than COVID-19 (the coronavirus).

Overall, I’m absolutely in love with the Air Doctor Filter and we make sure to have it on at all times.

To claim this limited time discount, click here and it will be applied at checkout. This $300 Air Doctor coupon code is a great deal. They also offer a payment plan to help it become more accessible.

UPDATE: About 6 months into using the Air Doctor Pro, I did have to purchase a filter replacement. However, it was only the carbon filter that needed replacement. The HEPA filter does not need replacing and I am approaching a year of almost constant use.

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
